New Pictures

Recently Jonas and Vera and I went to a Brewer's game against the Colorado Rockies. It was scout night and we went with the cub scouts. Vera and Jonas likes the ring pops I gave them. It kept Vera occupied. Jonas a couple of times would cheer when the Rockies got the ball. Despite the funny looks we got, I was happy that he understood what was going on without me explaining and thought it was funny that he was rooting for Colorado (by himself when the other kids were cheering for Wisconsin). A couple of other random pictures I thought were cute.

Happy 2nd Birthday Vera

We had a fun day at the zoo. Londyn, Dylan, Ingrid, Jonas and Vera were there their parents. We started off by feeding the Giraffes. Vera liked the first few minutes then got licked pretty good and just wanted to watch (she wasn't scared, just didn't want to get slimed again.) Jonas and Londyn liked it. Dylan was pretty scared. Ingrid loved it the most. Afterward, we had cupcakes and opened presents. Vera took the tissue out of the first gift bag and starting carrying it around like a purse, finally we convinced her to look inside. She still carried it around for awhile. John and Cameron got us into the Hospital's corporate party by showing them their hospital ID's and we did that for the rest of the day. We had a great lunch, all the cotton candy, drinks, popcorn and roasted corn on the cob that we wanted. Also, we saw the Sea Lion show, rode the carousel (Vera had to ride the Giraffe and wave to everyone) and the train. What a day. We're very tired. The whole day Vera kept saying "I'm so happy" whenever we would say "Happy Birthday" to her. (Later I'll add in a better picture of Vera feeding the Giraffes, I only got one on my camera, but my friend got a bunch.)

Vera and her Dora cards

I didn't realize that Vera knew the Dora characters. She loves Dora.

Vera Reading

Both Jonas and Vera read books all day. Vera has started reading to herself. She reads in a language only understood by herself. She really can talk better, but it's hard to catch on video. I just think her voice is cute.

Tired Vera

Still loves her blanket.

Crochet

I've been crocheting a lot again lately. I made Vera some leg warmers and I made myself a hat. I will add in the picture of Jonas' new hat as soon as I finish it.

Snow Day

We have gotten too much snow this year. Jonas likes it. He always wants to play outside. This is the first year that he has gone sledding. He has created a few sledding tricks. He loves it. Vera, however, doesn't like being cold and usually lasts a couple of minutes outside. She went sledding once. She went down about two times and liked it, but then got snow in her gloves and was done.

New Pics

Pic 1 and 2: We found a play house on clearance at Target. Jonas and Vera like it, especially Vera. Our neighbor gave us a small kitchen to go in it. Vera loves it. Her favorite part is the microwave.
Pic 3: Jonas and Vera are showing off the tatoos that Pop Pop Casey sent in the mail.
Pic 4: Vera loves hair bows, sometimes a little too much.
Pic 5: Jonas wanted to take a picture of his Pixar Cars having a parade.
The other pictures I took of Vera because she finally is letting me take her picture again.

Happy 5th Birthday Jonas

Jonas wasn't feeling very well on his birthday. He had a fever after the party, however, he still had a good time. He wanted to have a Jelly Belly Birthday in honor of his favorite place here in Wisconsin. 6 of his friends came. They had a jelly bean hunt, a jelly bean toss and each colored a picture of a jelly bean stating if they were a jelly bean what flavor would they be. All of those games were Jonas' idea. He said that he would be Rootbeer IceCream flavored. They also guessed how many jelly beans were in a jar I put together. There were "100". Some of the guesses were "11", "4", "1,000", "a lot", and "9 trillion". The friend that guessed "11" was the closest and got to bring the jar home.

Goodbye Bella and Lily

We sadly had to say goodbye to our kittens. John was having bad allergies. It was very sad, but gladly we found them a great new home. We now have two fish. Sarah and Tommy. Tommy is Jonas'. Tommy has a black stripe on his tail and one over his mouth that makes him look like he has a mustache.

New Year's Eve

Elle, Stephanie, and Dante came to visit us. They celebrated New Year's Eve with us. This was the first year that Jonas got to stay up late. He stayed up all the way to midnight. He had a blast. John and Jonas rented an XBox and played that all night. Elle and Stephanie and I made some good food and watched the festivities in New York on TV. Dante had fun playing with Jonas and Vera.

Wisconsin Dells

We took advantage of John's only week off until next November and decided to go on a short family vacation. We stayed at Mt. Olympus Resort in the Dells. Inside our hotel was a waterpark, amusement park, and arcade. Next door was an upside-down White House, called Top Secret. That was Jonas' favorite.
