Jonas's Baptism
Jonas's Baptism was amazing. He is such a good example to me. It was wonderful to be able to baptize and confirm him. His Grandpa Casey gave him a talk on baptism. I gave him a talk on receiving the Holy Ghost. Two of his great grandmothers got to be there. Most of his family did too. It was worth it to drive from Tucson so all his family could see.

Happy Birthday Britney
We had a birthday party for Britney today over skype with Casey, Jana, Arielle, Jessah and Eric. We had two cakes we lit at the same time for her and sang happy birthday. We all gave her birthday cards and Vera got a book for her called Mommy is a soft warm kiss she found at the library and already has memorized. She wanted to take the cake I made and the flowers I bought Britney up to heaven. She said can we go there NOW??? It was a really hard day but we know she is with us a lot. Here are some pictures.
Visit to Colorado to see Britney and the Kids
Jonas and I went to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D and he wore his glasses the whole way home. Denver got a foot of snow overnight. Half of it already melted. The kids love playing in it.
Britney in Critical Condition
1 1/2 weeks ago Britney had a sudden onset Toxic Shock Syndrome that came from a infection of her uterus by Strep A. She had sudden onset belly pain. She made it through an appendectomy and a hysterectomy (this saved her life). Last Saturday night she was being transfered to the University Medical Center in Tucson to possibly put an assist device in her heart to help her heart and lungs recover from the sepsis. On the way there her heart stopped multiple times. Luckily a heart surgeon transfered britney herself and saved her through CPR and placing britney on a type of heart and lung bypass called ECMO. She is almost ready to be taken off the bypass as her heart has healed so much. She now has a pneumonia that she is fighting and has been placed on temporary dialysis but is expected to recover. Her brain did have some damage to the cortex according to an EEG but it is difficult to tell where or how much. Her neurologist said that it will take some time before we know what her long term function will be. She looked at faces of her family yesterday one by one and had a tear roll down her face. She is in there fighting to come back. With all of the blessings, prayers, fasting being given her from around the country we have faith she will come back to us. Flowers for Vera and Anna
When John buys me flowers, he always buys some for Vera, too, or gives her one of mine. John gave Anna her first flower tonight. We're trying to get her to take one bottle a day. She was happily taking it, so we didn't take it away during the picture.

She has very long fingers to go with her long feet. Thank you again to Uncle Clay and Aunt Debbie for the pink scrubs that they sent to Vera when she was born. Anna is wearing them at the beginning of this post. I think they're really cute.
